Carwood showcases green solutions at Automechanika 2022

At this year’s Automechanika Frankfurt, Carwood will demonstrate how it’s helping distributors and garages service current and future vehicles, with a range of OE-quality, eco- and cost-friendly products

Coventry, 29 June 2022: Carwood will be showcasing its expanded aftermarket portfolio of green solutions at Automechanika Frankfurt, hall 3.1, stand J92, between 13-17 September 2022. With sustainability one of the core themes of this year’s exhibition, the OE-approved remanufacturer will demonstrate how its products, including fuel systems, turbochargers, DPF cleaning and rewound motors, are helping to save raw materials, energy and waste to landfill, and customers money, without compromising on the quality of the product.

“As vehicles become much more fuel-efficient and cleaner, the technologies required to maintain the high levels of performance on the road are evolving quickly,” explains Simon Quantrell, Deputy Managing Director, Carwood. “As an OE-approved remanufacturer, we work closely with both the vehicle, engine and OE manufacturers to keep pace with these advances and deliver products that are proven to perform in the real world, just like the OE – sometimes even better. Yet because we reuse the core, we can save up to 70 percent of the resources and consume around 85 percent less energy versus new, making it better for the environment and our customer’s wallets.”

A full range of its remanufactured fuel pumps and injectors covering all makes and models of vehicle, including car, Euro 6 commercial vehicle and Tier 3 off-highway applications, will be on display. It will also showcase its expanded range of Bosch products with Bosch new, eXchange and spare parts for diesel and petrol vehicles. Alongside, Carwood will feature some of its popular remanufactured turbochargers, plus new units, as an authorised reseller of Garrett and BorgWarner product.

With the shift towards electrification, Carwood will also explain how it is evolving its product line to include capabilities for hybrid and electric vehicles. Although not yet commercially available, this will include a programme of rewound motors for electric vehicles, providing another cost-effective, convenient and environmentally friendly service option. A rewound pump motor will be available on the stand showing the highly skilled, labour intensive and intricate work that goes into rewinding components by hand.

“Although diesel- and petrol-powered vehicles are still, and will be for years to come, the core of our business, we are committed to supporting a fast-growing service opportunity for hybrid and electric vehicles too. Our forthcoming rewound electric motor programme is just one part of our plan to serve both current and future technology. This will ensure we are perfectly positioned to grow with our customers, on their own journey to electrification,” explains Quantrell.

Finally, the company will promote its high-performance products for competition, classic and specialist road cars. Sold under its Carwood Brise brand, the range includes some of the industries’ most compact, lightest and powerful starters and alternators, uprated high-pressure fuel pumps that require no additional modifications to the engine wiring loom and hydraulic connections, and a new range of performance Garrett turbochargers. Whilst arguably more powerful than their road driven counterparts, the programme reinforces the company’s commitment to high performance standards throughout its entire portfolio.
