Quality – ISO 9001:2015

The company is totally committed to managing quality assurance through approved systems, they are embodied in our formal quality documentation and every member of staff is responsible for quality as a condition of employment.

From its first registration with BS5750 part 2 in the late 80’s the company has followed a course of continuous improvement through ISO9002:1994 and onto ISO9001:2000, then ISO9001:2008 and now most recently ISO9001:2015.

Carwood is a Member of the British Standards Institute.

The company is a Member of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

In November 2017 we were awarded Cyber Essentials accreditation following an evaluation of our systems by the IASME Consortium. Companies with Cyber Essentials lower the risks associated with cyber-attack and offer assurance to our customers that sufficient security controls are in place to reduce the possibility of any breach of systems and data.

Additionally, our quality assurance systems are designed to dovetail with our Customers own specific quality systems such as AQAP 2110 for the Defence Sector.

Our management review meetings are held a minimum of twice a year and are attended by both Directors and Department heads at which all aspects of the business including supplier ratings, customer feedback and process performance are discussed in depth, target areas agreed and monitored.

In addition to the above we hold monthly quality meetings with all departments, on an individual basis at which any issues (raised by staff or management) affecting quality and/or output can be addressed on a timely basis.

Environment – ISO14001

Caring for the environment is at the core of Carwood’s business philosophy, remanufacturing is, by its very nature a “green” activity. The processes of remanufacturing that we undertake are designed to conserve and re-cycle raw material, minimise energy consumption and reduce the carbon footprint of both ourselves and our customers. Remanufacturing uses up to 85% less energy than new production as well as conserving the Planet’s raw material resources.

Carwood is registered to ISO 14001:2015. This means the operating methods and standards of Carwood comply with all current environmental legislation and that we take a proactive role in conserving the environment and the worlds resources.
